FAQ
Indosoc is the University of Nottingham Indonesian Society, bringing together Indonesian students and anyone interested in Indonesian culture through social, cultural, and community-focused events.
Anyone at the University of Nottingham can join Indosoc! You don't have to be Indonesian to join 😁.
Yes, you have to be a University of Nottingham student to officially join Indosoc, as it is a UoN SU society.
We organise a wide range of events, including casual meet-ups, cultural celebrations, social gatherings (usually involving food 😋), sports events, and collaborations with fellow societies such as MalaySoc, ABACUS and SingSoc.
Members get access to sponsor discounts (see above) and events at discounted prices or completely for free.
You can join by purchasing a membership through the UoNSU website here .
Follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn for society and event announcements, but you can also join our WhatsApp group chat to get early event access and get involved with fellow members!
Committee roles are reopened, and elections will be held towards the end of each academic year (around May). You can register your interest in the 2026/2027 committee here !
